It’s the annual celebration of amateur motorcycle endurance racing! On Sunday, September 14, the 6 Hours Moto of Spa-Francorchamps returns once again, with around seventy teams across various categories ready to go all out. And good news: the double reigning champions will be absent, opening up the race for the overall standings wide open!

Naturally, all eyes are on the 1000 Pro category for the main contenders for the final victory. With the absence of two-time titleholders Masteroil by MRP, attention shifts to the #137 Dunlop Test Team featuring Peter Hickman, Jérémy Guarnoni and Vincent Lonbois, and to Interbike Racing Team with Gian Mertens, Nicky De Wit and Sébastien Le Grelle! Runners-up in the general classification last year, the #45 trio will likely start as favorites… but they’ll need to watch out for other teams who claimed top spots last year! Think of the #111 Trax Racing Team with Dennis Vermoesen, Johan Larminier and Yves Bollaerts, and the #91 NineT-One with Yan Ancia, Ouri Bikkems and Sander Claessen.

Several other black-yellow-red teams will also aim for the top: #18 Derous by MRP (Parmentier-Quintens-De Jongh), #69 MC 69 Racing (Ceulemans-Dierickx-Drieghe), #174 Lux Moto Racing Pro (Kaut-Ghilardi-Geenen) and #234 Team Seventy (Vander Eecken-Matthys-Hoffmann). And the competition is international too!

The 1000 Pro entry list also includes the Polish team Flying Buffs Racing Team (Demianiuk-Ulkowski), the Swiss ASR – The Racing Holzwürmer (Von Bergen-Walser-Von Bergen), the French Starteam Racing (Fievet-Fievet), and British teams ADSS97 (Watson-Walker-Holden) and Danik Group Motorsport (Burnham-Brown). On the Belgian side, you’ll also see Ducati Sambreville (Delle Case-Delle Case-Mackels), KM Motos / DDB Racing (Louppe-De Vleeschauwer-Bian), ZB Racing – CRS Racing (Verhelst-Govaert-Lambrechts), and CL Racing Team (Lequeux-De Kimpe).

In short, it’s going to be a serious race!
