6 Heures Moto A Belgian Master of Endurance between Zolder and Spa!
It was a very black-yellow-red initiative! On the lead roles Hans Van de Ven, head of the well-known Motorsportschool Zolder, and Florian Jupsin from DG Sport, organiser of the 6 Heures Motos at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. In Limburg as well as in the heart of the Ardennes, motorbike endurance races are organised. From 2024, three of them will be combined to create a brand new competition: the Belgian Master of Endurance!
In concrete terms, this Belgian Master of Endurance will consist of three separate events, brought together under the same banner: The Zolder 5 Hours, scheduled for Saturday the 15th of June, the Zolder 500, on Thursday the 1st of August, and the 6 Heures Motos on Sunday the 22nd of September.
There will be two classes: Superbike (1000cc) and Supersport (600cc max).
By setting up this Belgian Master in Endurance, Motorsportschool Zolder and DG Sport intend to join forces to promote more and more long-distance racing in our country. The aim is to encourage Zolder experts to discover or rediscover Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, and 6 Hours Motorcycle enthusiasts to visit Limburg and see what regularly happens there.
At the end of the three events, in fact just after the finish of the 6 Heures Motos, an official prize-giving ceremony will be held. It should also be noted that a prize fund of 10,000 euros will be awarded to the various winners… No less!
With the set-up of the Belgian Master of Endurance, fans of this type of competition have a new challenge to look forward to in the coming weeks. Action!
