6 Heures Moto The 6 Heures Moto 2021 brought forward to Saturday August 14
Initially scheduled for Sunday, August 15, the 2021 edition of the 6 Heures Moto, the only endurance race worthy of the name organized on Belgian soil, has been brought forward in the calendar. It is in fact the day before, on Saturday August 14th, that the event organized by DG Sport will finally take place...
« Being able to offer events of such magnitude on the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps remains a privilege ... but we also have to deal with the vagaries of the international calendar, explains Florian Jupsin, Bike Manager at DG Sport. It turns out that on August 15, an event of global significance was formalized by the Circuit. With the deadline to the return of the FIM Motorcycle Endurance World Championship to the track in Spa getting closer and closer, there was obviously no question of cancelling our 6 Heures de Moto. The event is therefore simply brought forward by one day, and as tradition dictates, the practice sessions and the race will take place on the same day, i.e. Saturday 14. »
This means that the Parade of the 6 Heures Moto in the heart of Spa will not take place on Saturday August 14th in the evening, but on Friday August 13th. Which fundamentally doesn't change much, no offense to the superstitious.
Two days of track riding will still be reserved for our bikers just before the 6 Heures Moto, on Thursday 12 and Friday 13 August. This will allow everyone to adjust those final settings and prepare in the best possible way for the race on Saturday.
