6 Heures Moto 10 good reasons not to miss the 6 Heures Moto 2022

We made it this time ! A traditional highlight of motorcycle endurance races in Belgium, the 6 Heures Moto signed by DG Sport will start at 11.55 a.m. to attack the Raidillon. A simply unmissable event for fans, who will inevitably be there this Sunday, August 14. And they have at least ten reasons to be there !

1.The Parade is finally back !

It was in 2019, before everything got complicated on the planet. Organized the day before the 6 Heures Moto, the Parade allowed a large audience to admire the machines and meet teams and riders in the heart of Spa ! A tremendous promotion for the event, especially since the Circus Trial Tour was responsible for sprinkling the whole thing with a few motorized flights in the sky of Spa. In 2022, things are back to normal, and bikers will once again descend on Spa on Saturday August 13 from 6:30 p.m.! We count on you…

2.The sun will be present !

On this long weekend of the Assumption, the sun will be there ! As the weather forecast for the following days is less optimistic, you might as well make the most of it. And frankly, “the most beautiful circuit in the world” is more than ever a “must” in these conditions. Let it be said, at the 6 Heures Moto, it’s as hot on the track as it is off

3.Girl Power, the return !

This will once again be one of the attractions of the 6 Heures Moto: a 100% female team will challenge the countless representatives of the male sex, and the supporters of the girls in the race are ever more numerous. Engaged in the Trophy category, TeamThuyRacing will be synonymous with a return to the track for the French riders Natacha Remy, Gaëlle Remy and Béatrice Girard. Unmissable !

4.Compact timing

One of the major attractions of the 6 Heures Moto is that the race takes place in a single day ! In fact, in terms of timing, it’s very simple: qualifying between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., start of the race at 11:55 a.m. and finish at 5:55 p.m., followed by the podium and celebrations. Clear, clean and precise, pure DG Sport style !

5.Typical ‘Le Mans’ start

The image is so typical, and it sticks admirably to any endurance race worthy of the name. The start of the 6 Heures Moto is like in La Sarthe. The machines on one side of the track, the riders on the other, and as the flag goes down, a race to the bikes, start of the engines, and it’s off to a great start. Simply magical…

6.Intense !

The 6 Heures Moto is modern endurance racing. Translation: the pace never drops, and from the first to the last minute of the race, the lap times are breathtaking. In the wake of the 24H Spa EWC Motos, the event signed DG Sport magnifies the long-term effort. The quest for the ultimate tenth on the track, deployment of the best strategy in the pits, all the ingredients of a show with great suspense are united.

7.Francorchamps ‘new look’

World-renowned, with a history of more than a century, the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps entered a new dimension this year. While waiting for the return of permanent installations in front of the Endurance stands, the Raidillon continues to seduce with its new monumental grandstand ! And then there is this ‘exclusive’ track for motorcycles at Speaker Corner, between the hairpin of Brussels and the Double Gauche. Not to mention the gravel, which is welcomed by the biker community. In short, more than ever, Spa has its focus on motorcycles!

8.100% amateur !

This is the undeniable strong point of the 6 Heures Moto: where the 24H Spa EWC Motos was primarily aimed at professional teams, the event signed DG Sport is tailored to amateur teams. Who can all claim a performance of choice on a legendary track, a guarantee of a permanent show. Or how to allow enthusiasts to face a handful of sure values of competitions on two wheels…

9.Fans at the heart of the action

With the exception of the pit lane, for obvious safety reasons, the public at the 6 Heures Moto enjoys total freedom to miss nothing of the race. Once inside the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, it’s Free Access ! For the atmosphere and the meet and greets, the paddock is essential. And to treat eyes and ears, the new Raidillon grandstand is the ‘must’ of the year. Without any extra charge.

10.For 20 bucks… you have everything !

While the 6 Heures Moto is accessible to all teams, even the most amateur in the noblest sense of the term, DG Sport does everything in its power to allow as many people as possible to enjoy the spectacle. This translates in particular into a ‘friendly’ access price of 20 euros per person, without the slightest supplement once you access the site. Ah yes, for this amount, you are also entitled to the official program, so you don’t miss anything of the show. For bikers, a locker service will be set up in box 28 !

The best plan ? Don’t miss the Parade on Saturday evening in the heart of Spa, where tickets and programs will be available. And then you are ready for Sunday !  Action…
