A winning bet for DG Sport ! This Saturday, between 6pm and 9pm, motorcycles were the centre of the attention in the heart of Spa ! And as from this first edition, the Parade of the 6 Heures Moto was a great success. Despite the uncertain weather, the crowd joined the party, a mixture of two-wheel enthusiasts and bystanders all too happy with the entertainment, to approach the machines, teams and riders for a life-size Meet & Greet !
And while the stars of the 6 Heures Moto de Spa-Francorchamps, including Xavier Siméon, new laptime record holder since Saturday afternoon (2'24''082), were responding to the requests of fans, young and old flocked together at the Old Baths, where the Circus Trial Tour shows marked the evening. With Samuele Zuccali, in great shape, who provided the show, playing with the rain and making the area created by Fred Crosset as dangerous as ever. The public got treated to a nice series of backflips.
As part of this Parade, a Parys Printing Grid Girls Contest was organised, with the teams competing for the first time - often in an attractive and original way - to draw the public's attention to their bikes and riders. A jury of experts handed down their verdict at the end of the evening, with Team Kockarts (#31), Team Lux-Moto Racing (#174) and Team WBB Racing Team (#77) sharing the prizes offered by Parys Printing, Dunlop and Ipone.
At the end of this appetiser, which tastes like many more, the bikes returned in the direction of the circuit of Spa-Francorchamps. After a few hours of respite, the action on the track will start this Sunday, August 18 at 9:00 am for a long qualification session and the - Le Mans type - start, that will be given at 11:55 am.
